TATA CRUCIBLE COIMBATORE EDITION

It was another Surprising year for us at TATA CRUCIBLE Coimbatore regionals, with almost three teams finding their spot in top 10, two made it to direct finals and first year team entering wild card round,yet some one from Bannari institute who also entered through wild card went on to win the title (just like JAI HO unexpectedly bagging grammy). It was a good show from Mithun and vijay as they finished runners up. they have some interesting moments to share with all of us( particularly the friendly duel they had, which giri himself pointed out during the show). kudos to them!!!. congrats to our first year team aadhavan and prem good luck for your next TC..

ET campus 2010

Sometimes in life nothing goes wrong........ i mean nothing.......... and so did nothing on jan 28,2010 @ grd........ with their swashbuckling and mind boggling performance Karthik kannan and Shravan bagged the quiz scoring a whooping 95 points........ something unprecedented in the history of ET campus quiz........ They took home(hostel i mean) 2 Sony Bravia and a flight ticket to chennai sponsored by Paramount airways..........

First years Adhavan and Rajan made it to final six(Big round of applause please!!!!!!) lot more to
hear from them.......

BIZ QUIZ '09

So we guys started off with a Quiz on October 7th exclusively for the FIRST YEARS, owing to very less students turning up few second years(PGDM) too participated!

As i said earlier, was disappointed because of the poor strength.
But guys enjoyed the quiz and it was good to see few audiences actively participating!

Quiz master Mithun Kamal hosted the event well.

The next quiz will be sometime in the first/second week of November which is supposed to be the Miss.QUIZ and will be hosted by Sarah Thomas and Anju.

Academic Year 2008-09: The Quiz Club of PSGIM functioned in full throttle! Let's take you through a whirlwind tour of all the activities of the club, and celebrate our Quizzards who won laurels!

• Biz'olympia'08
  The year opened with a bang! For many of the newcomers on campus, it turned out to be a first date with Biz Quizzing. The event was presented with an Olympic flavour... Rounds were named after the Olympic host cities... and what more... the points table was even called medal tally! And so a 5pointer was a bronze, 10 a silver and 15 worth a gold!

  A quiz strictly restricted to the high octane automobile industry and the glamorous Movie Industry!

  The Quiz Club of PSGIM conducted an Inter-collegiate Quiz on the sidelines of FinFair'08 – The annual financial Services Exhibition. The event was aptly titled Fin'Q!

  This event took Quizzing back to the most happening place on campus - "The Amphitheatre". The event was well recieved not only by students but also by the Staff who stayed back till the very end!

  For the first time, an online quiz was conducted on this blog!

• THE CPC QUIZ : The PSGIM Quiz club also hosted the Coimbatore Productivity Council Quiz which was part of the National Productivity Week celebrations!

• Masterminds'09 : The event that crowns the best team among the junior lot. It turned out to be a pulsating contest that went down to the wires...And that reaffirmed the talent of those who will take on the mantle from now on!

  The Quiz for the fairer sex on campus! As usual they said : "Why should boys have all the fun?!"
  Well... watching gals quiz, boys did have have some fun!!
  But, it did turn out to be a good show as there was some serious.....Intelligent Quizzing put on display! Boys... do take a serious note of it!!!

Now let's come to the most important part of this review... All the quizzes that we do in-house are meant to provide good quality exposure which makes our guys competitive on the quizzing circuit! And not just that, the rigour of in-house quizzing also prepares them and equips them with what it takes to survive and thrive in the toughest quizzes on circuit!

Well that was a whooping 24 events in all...one short of a magic 25!!! We now leave it to the juniors to ensure that, representation is made in many more events in the coming academic year and thereafter. Our seniors are known to set tough targets for the juniors to live up to. There is no doubt that juniors would rise to the occasion and carry on the legacy of Business Quizzing at PSGIM!

Thanks to all the people who have been associated with the quiz club - be it the quiz club coordinators, guys who helped us to stage the events successfully and of course the audience who are the lifeline of any quiz show!

Last but not the least; we thank Kavitha Mam, the club's faculty coordinator and our director who supported the club in all possible ways! Thank you Mam... Thank you Sir!

And for one last time, the coordinators of PSGIM Quiz club for the year 2008-09 bid adieu! We certainly miss the fun with the buzzers, the convention hall where we staged almost all the Quiz shows, and of course we miss the mad rush for chocolates... believe us...chocolates never tasted better!
